3CSN Winter 2022 Design Labs – Developing a Vision for Classified Equity

Classified professionals across the state are stepping up to help realize our long-sought goal of equity for students and for all employees within the California Community Colleges. Classified professionals are central to this mission. Working as collaborative partners and change agents across the state, we continue to further this goal. Join San Diego Mesa College classified professionals (BSILI 2019) Anda McComb, Carla Grossini-Concha, Eva Parrill, and Trina Larson, for this three-part design lab in which we will explore the place and role of classified employees in the larger equity picture, consider theories and strategies for change and empowerment, and develop plans for action.
Attendees will receive a digital badge for their participation in all three 90-minute sessions.
In addition, there will be a drawing each session for the book Culturally Responsive Teaching and The Brain: Promoting Authentic Engagement and Rigor Among Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Students by Zaretta Hammond.
