Engaging Students Through Active Learning and Culturally Responsive Activities focuses on active learning within the English classroom with a focus on culturally responsive assignments. Activities will include an oral history assignment and student ePortfolio project – both honoring a student’s cultural and linguistic background while engaging in research, reading, and writing to empower students to use their voice and connect with their community.
