This presentation from the 2017 RP Group Strengthening Student Success conference describes how successful partnerships between academic libraries and Student Equity programs can lead to increased student access to instructional resources and support that are critical factors for improving their success. This collaboration facilitated student access to a supportive learning environment while leveraging cross-disciplinary instructional support to reach high concentrations of students in target populations. The presentation synthesizes the results of several equity-funded library loan programs and provides a detailed road map on how to integrate direct student support into the existing campus fabric. Presenters identify and discuss logistical and ideological challenges and how they were addressed. The presentation closes with an examination of the project evaluation process, including linkages between library usage, student success, and student equity indicator data.
