The Faculty Diversity Internship Program aims to train a diverse pool of potential faculty to effectively teach and serve the wide-range of students in the Peralta Community College District, address gaps in equity, and to develop a faculty that reflects the diversity of their student population. They welcome faculty from diverse backgrounds to serve as interns/mentors, to provide high quality learning opportunities, and to enhance the educational needs of the multicultural East Bay community.

The Faculty Diversity Internship Program Brochure provides an overview of the program, intern and mentor benefits, as well as program eligibility. The website for the program offers more detailed information including Frequently Asked Questions, announcements, helpful resources and documents, planning and reports, and more. The information that they provide reflects the district's commitment to diversity and serves as an example to colleges who are looking at ways to make the same commitment.
