California Community Colleges Guided Pathways is a multi-year program of the Chancellor’s Office designed to provide each college with the opportunity to implement Guided Pathways as an overarching framework for significantly improving student outcomes. The State of California’s 2017–18 budget includes a one-time investment of $150 million to support the implementation of the Guided Pathways framework at all 114 California community colleges. In fall 2017, the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office (CCCCO) sponsored several one-day workshops to help colleges implement the Guided Pathways framework. This workshop served as a mandatory first step for any California community college interested in receiving a portion of these funds. Attendees heard from early adopters about their experience implementing Guided Pathways; learned about the Guided Pathways framework, implementation timeline, and funding and reporting details; and were provided support to complete their Guided Pathways Self-Assessment Tool.
