DESCRIPTION:For students with print-related disabilities to be able to fully participate in courses\, educational materials may need to be provided in an alternate text format\, such as braille or large print. However\, producing alternate formats can be time consuming\, expensive\, and require specific skills that are beyond the training of campus staff and faculty. \nThe Alternate Text Production Center (ATPC) is funded by the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office to provide free\, on-demand alternate media production services to assist colleges in meeting the needs of their students with print-related disabilities. \nIn this Accessibility Office Hours session\, Jeff Baugher\, ATPC Director\, will present a general overview of the Alternate Text Production Center. DESCRIPTION:The California Community College Chancellor’s Office (CCCCO) is excited to offer faculty teaching transfer-level Math programs (STEM and SLAM pathways) online the opportunity to participate in the professional development micro-credential courses\, Creating an Inclusive and Supporting Online Learning Environment and Promoting Active Learning Online\, offered by the Association of College and University Educators (ACUE). \nACUE’s courses\, endorsed by the American Council on Education (ACE)\, address a comprehensive set of evidence-based teaching practices shown to promote student success. \nThe micro-credential course offerings include the following: \nPromoting Active Learning (Online) — In this course\, participants learn practices proven to more actively engage your students in learning and thinking critically. \nCreating an Inclusive and Supportive Online Learning Environment — In this course\, participants learn practices that enable instructors to create an optimal environment to support learning-including how to increase student engagement\, embrace diversity\, and help students persist in meeting academic challenges. \nTo register for these courses\, please complete the course registration form by May 13\, 2022. DESCRIPTION:EXTERNAL REGISTRATION   \nRegistration is Open!\nSecurity incidents rarely occur at a convenient time and tend to proceed at a fast pace\, so it is important for participants to understand the roles and responsibilities of being on an Incident Response team. \nDelivered by the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office\, in collaboration with the CCC Information Security Center\, the intent of this Incident Response Tabletop exercise is to introduce participants to the flow of events and actions that typically occur during a security incident. \nThis exercise has been structured as two events: One is a ransomware attack and the other is a malicious network breach. The sessions will be presented on two different days\, so that participants may plan on attending either session or both. \nEach session will introduce the different types of attacks and the process of incident handling\, including detection\, containment\, eradication\, and recovery. All our offerings are developed with full support from the Chancellor’s Office and provided free of charge to our colleges. \nGet ready for real-time delivery of student application data directly to your college ERP/Student Information System! \nWith the phase-out of the CCCApply Download Client starting on July 1\, 2022\, all new CCCApply student application data will be delivered via SuperGlue only. \nDon’t panic!
