SUMMARY:CCC | Undocumented Student Action Week Systemwide Webinars
DESCRIPTION:In the last five years\, our collective budget and legislative advocacy during Undocumented Student Action Week (USAW) has led to funding for Undocumented Student Centers (Dream Resource Centers) and UndocuLiaisons\, the establishment of an Immigration Legal Services Project\, the expansion of AB 540 eligibility and the protection of DACA. We know all too well that change is important every day of the year\, not just during USAW. This year’s USAW theme\, “Change in Action” empowers us to engage in state\, federal\, and local action to support undocumented students in their goal of earning a college education. We must think about the ways we can cultivate and empower change that is long lasting. During Undocumented Student Action Week\, the Chancellor’s Office will be hosting a daily system webinar at 1:00 p.m. from October 19-22 on critical policy frameworks and tools designed to support institutions with successful implementation of recent undocumented student policy reforms. These webinars will include topics such as a review of statewide policies\, data collection and use\, and innovative use of funds. \nRegistration Link Here \nNote: Users cannot register for this webinar through the Vision Resource Center.
