This annual conference is the largest gathering of institutional researchers and planners in the California Community College system.

Each year, the RP Conference convenes institutional researchers and planners in community colleges across California to exchange local approaches to common issues, learn about the latest developments in the field, and strengthen relationships within our community. It is a hands-on conference of your peers and by your peers, expanding your research and planning toolkit to help you support your institution's capacity for evidence-based decision-making and inquiry.

Advancing the pipeline of Asian Americans toward senior level administration in higher education is a priority of APAHE. Less than 1% of the three thousand colleges and universities in the United States are only led by a person of Asian American descent. At whatever level or role in academics, student, or administrative services you currently hold, we believe you have the potential to advance as a director, chair, dean, vice president or president. We acknowledge the core of who you are as an Asian American and can provide the tools and mentorship for advancement.

The 2018 program theme calls us to confront the struggles for public education, considering the times in which we are living, the historical arcs that shape our present(s), and the roles we can play in the fight for justice. Public education has the potential to be a central pillar of democracy and to foster civil deliberation. It is essential to democratic government, which both depends on and makes possible respect for diversity, justice, and human dignity. It has a crucial role to play in our divided world, bringing communities together to build an inclusive formation of “we the people.”

Annual Meeting sessions will be held in nine (9) co-Headquarter Hotels: Crowne Plaza Times Square Manhattan, Le Parker Meridien, Park Central New York Hotel, Millennium Broadway, New York Hilton Midtown, New York Marriott Marquis, Sheraton New York Times Square, Warwick New York Hotel, Westin at Times Square.
