Community Education at Allan Hancock College complements and expands the activities of the college to meet the dynamic educational, cultural, and life-enrichment needs of the community. Community Education enrolls students in a variety of noncredit and fee-based classes offered in the five major geographical areas of the college district: Santa Maria, Lompoc, Santa Ynez Valley, Guadalupe, and Cuyama. Noncredit instructors are expected to be providers of valuable educational experiences to their students and act as representatives of AHC’s Community Education program. This resource is a part-time faculty orientation packet that can be found on the Community Education Faculty Resources page of the school's website. It serves as an example of the types of information a school can offer when putting together a similar orientation packet for new Community Education faculty.
